This project explores a reimagined visual direction for Steam as the gaming industry shifts toward cloud-based experiences and platform-agnostic access.
The objective was to design a simpler, more expressive logo that feels modern, friendly, and scalable across digital touchpoints while staying rooted in gaming culture.

The redesigned mark is tested across core digital touchpoints, including sign-in flows and mobile loading screens, ensuring clarity and recognition in interface-driven environments.

A cloud-based form reflects Steam’s shift from local systems to cloud gaming
Controller-inspired elements subtly reference interactivity and play
A minimal facial expression adds approachability, allowing the mark to function as both logo and character

Multiple visual directions were explored to balance simplicity, personality, and scalability, while staying rooted in gaming culture and future-facing digital platforms.
